Marty, Dorrie, and Haley B. from Middleberg kindly shared the following experience and photo with us:

"On February 21, 2012, my husband, my 15 year old daughter and myself were awakened to our house being on fire. We were able to get out just in time before the entire house burned to the ground. We had just purchased a Cannon fireproof safe a couple of months prior, and thank God we did. To our surprise when we opened the safe every document had been saved, which included our Social Security cards, Marriage License, Birth Certificates, jewelry, and, of course, our guns. You don’t realize how much these things mean to you until everything else you owned is there one day and gone the next. Since we were in such a hurry to get out of our burning home, our driver’s licenses which were not in the safe were gone, and in order to get new ones we had to have all of the documents in the safe to show proof of who we were. We were able to go get new ones right away. Now we are building again and since the safe had a life time warranty we have ordered a new one which was not a problem with the Cannon Company. The Cannon Company customer service representative, David, was so nice and helpful; he made it easy. I am writing this letter just to let the Cannon Company know that you’re safe made a difference during the most horrible time in our lives."

"On Sept 17-2011 my home burned to the ground. My guns were in a Cannon gun safe. It was still standing. I removed it from the ash and opened it. My guns inside were in remarkably good shape for what they had been through. Some that were in cases, looked untouched. Others, you can tell, had a lot of heat and smoke on them, but, are still in good shape. Even my scopes made it. Some of the stocks have some blistering on them. Everything is usable and will clean up. Since the fire, Cannon customer service has been great. They called to see if I got the safe open and I have a new safe on the way. I would like to thank David, and all the fine folks at Cannon Safe, for a job well done."

After his home was struck by a tornado, Richard Pearce from Hot Springs, AK was kind enough to send us this testimonial about his experience:

"My family and I went through a tornado on April 25 2011. The house was totaled and had a lot of water from the holes in the roof. My Cannon Patriot protected my guns with no problems. I moved it to a friend’s garage and about six weeks later on June 10 I went to put a couple of guns back and noticed mold on the bottom and sides. I called Cannon and asked what to do, a rep named Kenny asked if the mold was on the sides and back I said yes he then told me the safe would have to be replaced. I sent the Insurance report and pictures of the safe and Kenny said they would ship me a new safe in 4 to 6 weeks NO CHARGE period!! Received my new safe on July 6, this company is awesome!! Thanks Cannon for a great product and great service.”
